Process automation: when something happens, Megorix takes care of the rest
Emails to customers, tasks for the team, alerts — without anyone having to remember.
- Rules that react when a record is created, changed or deleted — and only when the conditions are met, for example when a status goes from "received" to "ready".
- Ready-made actions: update fields, send an email or a text message, create a notification, generate a PDF, call another system or block an invalid save.
- Scheduled actions — every day, every week, at the time you choose.
- Workflows with several steps and approvals, tested before you switch them on.
Automate emails, SMS and tasks from your own data
Much of the repeated work in a company is reacting to something that happened: an order that arrives, a repair that is ready, a deadline that passes. In Megorix, that reaction is a rule — written once and carried out every time.
Text messages go out from the company's own Android phone, paired with Megorix as an SMS gateway — no SMS provider charging per message.
When a rule is not enough, there are visual workflows and server scripts — and the MegaPC team sets everything up with you.

How to create an automation rule: when, if and then
A rule reads like a sentence: when something happens, if the conditions hold, then Megorix does what you told it to.
- 1
When: choose the entity and the moment — before or after a record is created, changed or deleted. Before is for validating and stopping; after is for reacting.
- 2
If: combine conditions with AND and OR — a status, a value above a threshold, an empty field, a date.
- 3
Then: update a field with a fixed value, a copy of another field or a text built from the record’s data; do simple arithmetic; send an email from a template or a text message; create a notification; generate a PDF into a file field; call another system; or block the save with a message.
- 4
The rule starts as a draft. Test it — the test sends no email or text message and calls no other system — and activate it. Every run is logged.
- Emails go out from your company’s own mailbox, connected over SMTP; text messages, from the paired Android phone.
- For what happens at set times — text reminders a few days ahead, recurring emails, CSV exports — there are scheduled actions, with the frequency and time zone you choose.
Business process automation examples by industry
The same building blocks serve very different businesses:
- Clinics and appointment-based businesses: a text reminder before each appointment or booking, sent by a scheduled action.
- Repair shops: when the repair order moves to “ready”, the customer gets a text saying the car can be collected.
- Associations: when a membership fee is marked as paid, the PDF receipt is generated and stored on the member’s record.
- Retail: when an item’s stock falls below the set threshold, the purchasing team gets a notification.
- Law firms: a case cannot be closed without the closing date filled in — the rule blocks the save and explains why.
Common questions about business process automation
Anything that means reacting to an event or a date: sending the customer an email or a text message, alerting the team, updating a status, generating a PDF document, calling another system or stopping a save that breaks the rules.
No. Rules and workflows are set up without code. For what does not fit in a rule there are server scripts — and MegaPC can write them for you.
Megorix sends text messages through an Android phone belonging to the company, paired as an SMS gateway: messages go out from the company's own SIM card, with no provider charging per message. The number of messages per month depends on the plan.
Yes. Workflows can be tested with no real effects before they are activated, and rules start as drafts: they only run once activated.
From your company’s own mailbox, connected to Megorix over SMTP: customers receive them from your usual address. Without a mailbox set up, automatic emails are not sent.
Yes. A rule that runs before the save can block it with a message explaining what is missing, or just show a warning and let the save go through.
Yes, with scheduled actions: choose the frequency — every day at a set time, every week, or every few minutes — and the time zone, and Megorix sends emails, text messages or notifications, runs a rule or calls another system.
