Automatic invoicing that starts with the order
Issue the invoice from the order, with the customer and lines already filled in, and follow it until it is paid.
- The customer, items and amounts move from the order to the invoice, with nothing typed again.
- In Switzerland, the invoice leaves Megorix with a QR-bill; in Portugal, it goes to the certified invoicing software the company already uses.
- PDF documents from your templates, stored on the record and ready to send to the customer.
- Every invoice with its status until it is paid, and the overdue ones always visible in the list.
Invoicing in Portugal and Switzerland, each with its own rules
In Switzerland, Megorix invoices natively: QR-bill to SIX v2.4, GeBüV compliance, Swiss VAT, credit notes, bank reconciliation and invoices in five languages.
In Portugal, the invoice is issued in the certified invoicing software the company already uses. Megorix connects to it and sends it the order data, so nobody types it twice.

From order to invoice: the invoicing flow step by step
In Portugal, Megorix prepares everything that comes before the invoice and hands it to the program that issues it:
- 1
The order is recorded — in the online store, by a sales rep or from a work order — with the customer, the lines and the amounts.
- 2
When it reaches the status you choose — “completed”, “delivered”, “approved” —, Megorix sends the data to the invoicing program, with nobody typing it again.
- 3
The document is issued in the certified program, which handles the numbering, the ATCUD and the SAF-T.
- 4
The document number sent back can be stored on the Megorix record, so you always know which invoice belongs to each order.
How Megorix sends data to the certified invoicing program in Portugal
In Portugal, invoices issued by computer must come from a program certified by the Tax Authority. Megorix does not issue Portuguese invoices: it connects to the program the company already uses — Sage, PHC, Primavera or ZoneSoft, for example — and takes care of what comes before.
MegaPC sets up the connection for each company. The program’s credentials are stored encrypted, a mapping says which data goes and when, every delivery is logged and, if one fails, it is retried automatically. See what is already in place under integrations.
Swiss QR-bill invoices: what Megorix handles natively
In Switzerland, the Megorix invoicing module issues the complete invoice: a QR-bill with the QR reference calculated and checked against the QR-IBAN, credit notes with their own numbering, invoices in Portuguese, German, French, Italian and English, in francs or euros.
Once issued, the invoice is locked — customer, address and IBAN included — and the change log is kept for ten years, as the GeBüV requires. camt.053 and camt.054 bank statements are imported, payments find their invoice by the reference and, once they cover the total, the invoice is marked as paid. All the details are under Swiss invoicing.
Examples of invoicing from completed work, by industry
The starting point changes from business to business; the path to the invoicing program is the same:
- Transport: the completed delivery sends the customer, the service and the amount.
- Repair shops: the closed repair order carries the parts and the labour.
- Construction: each completed stage of the project sends that stage’s amounts.
- Clinics: the finished appointment goes on with the patient and the treatment provided.
- Associations: the paid membership fee goes to the program that issues the receipt.
- Online store: website orders follow the same path, and automation rules let the team know what is still missing.
